Train Clients’ Mindsets as Well as Their Muscles

Personal trainers and coaches know that if we BELIEVE we can do something, we can. Clients need to be taught how to make their self-belief work for them when it comes to habits like diet and exercise. If we can convince ourselves that everyone else is faster, better, thinner, stronger than we are or will ever be, then we can also convince ourselves that they may be ____ NOW, but we are in the process of BECOMING ____. We may still need to work on SKILLS or knowledge to become better. Catch yourself thinking in self-defeating or unproductive ways is the first step toward change. Reframing the situation and or your perspective is the second (and harder) step.
