Supporting Fearful Clients

Many clients come to personal trainers because they either have very little experience with physical fitness or require the structure that we can provide. And, many come with “fears” that they won’t be “good enough.” One of our most important jobs as trainers is to encourage people to simply begin, and to help them learn from both our instruction and their experience, to trust their bodies. Often its just by standing near someone, as they try new skills, in a non-judgmental and compassionate way, that people learn best., no lectures required.
