Recovery Matters

Athletes and non-athletes of all kinds need recovery. Especially if we’ve been working hard for months or even longer, our ability to improve and perform at optimal levels is determined more by how well we rest rather than how hard we train. Most of us have the capability to train extremely hard, but many of us fail to recover properly. Optimal recovery and rest has three basic components:

  • Sleep
  • Nutrition
  • Reduction in training/work.

All three work together to renew the body, mind and spirit.
