Our minds are like a messy closet: you never know what your going to find in there until you start unpacking everything! So it’s no wonder that we find it truly difficult to stick with new intentions. Whether we’ve decided to get healthier, start exercising, be kinder to others, or whatever, CHANGE IS HARD. Change in one area of our lives involves changing other things as well: creating space in our schedules, telling others “no” so we can make better choices, or simply the small practice of asking ourselves “what happened??” when we fall short of our goals. Willingness to learn from “mistakes” and trying again is critical to meeting goals. Developing a “growth” mindset allows us to understand that “failure” is really an opportunity to learn.
