Lack of Structure Can Lead to Ruination/Stagnation

While some people love endless amounts of unstructured time, many of us feel lost without a set schedule to plan around. The lack of structure can lead to all sorts of things like sleeping too much or at the wrong times, excessive eating, and lack of productivity including exercise. Simple steps can make it easier to develop a new routine:

  • Set a schedule. Include usual tasks like meals, work, calling friends & family, etc. Review it throughout the day.
  • Have a daily task list. Check things off as you complete them. Make sure exercise is on the list.
  • Ask a friend to be an accountability partner. Keep each other on track for the things you planned to do.
