Craving sweets? Craving salt? How hungry are you?

These are critical questions to consider before eating your next meal. If you are craving salt, but try to avoid it because its “unhealthy”, chances are very high that you will eat the “healthy” item, then go back and eat the “unhealthy” one anyway. In the end, you’ll have eaten many more calories than you needed and feel guilty. The answer? Consider your craving. Can you “round” out the meal with something a bit healthier? Pizza and salad, burger with sweet potato fries or coleslaw, cookies ­and milk…you get the idea.
