Celebrate the Small Stuff

Each day, in small and large ways, offer encouragement to clients. Be their cheer leaders, no matter how small the accomplishment. Sometimes people need a push to keep moving, and sometimes they need hugs. Always, they need to celebrate the very small stuff: showing up for a workout, trying a new exercise, sticking with a plan, asking for help to stay on track. If we can help them “celebrate” these important steps, they’ll often feel empowered to take another.
