Cooking Tips for Busy Athletes

Sometimes it feels like there isn’t enough time in the day to make a delicious and nutritious meal.  Here are some cooking tools and methods that can work for busy people and athletes:

  • Cookie Sheet Roast: roast all ingredients in one dish
  • Slow Cooker/Instapot Cook once, freeze and reheat (e.g., lasagna)
  • Cook once, plan over 2-3x (e.g., rotisserie chicken becomes chicken enchilada, chicken salad, etc)
  • Quick make it yourself meals when you don’t have time.
  • Pasta w/sauce
  • Scrambled eggs, toast
  • Pancakes & fruit
  • Microwave potato, salsa & beans
  • Open face grilled cheese and soup
