Each day, we choose what to focus on and think about, and this leads us to make plans or skip plans. So, in every way possible, the mindset you develop and choose dictates whether you are motivated to do something or not. The next time you choose to skip a workout or bail on your goal to eat more healthfully, notice what you were thinking about right before you chose to bail. Sometimes, we justify our decisions, but often its our inner critic that gets the best of us, telling us that this choice won’t really matter so why bother? That inner critic is WRONG. You have control over your decisions. Listen to your inner coach rather than your inner critic.
